Kashawn Henry

I was born on July 17th, 1993 in New York. I showed a passion for drawing at a young age, that passion for drawing matured into a love for storytelling after I learned how to read.  As I grew older I would go to the library and read magazines with superheros and anime characters and try to mimic some of my favorite artists' work.

In middle school, me and a close friend created as series of comics in a few notebooks that we've kept as a reminder of the progress we've made. In high school I was allowed to flex my creative muscles even further and branch out into other forms of art that have pushed my drawings even further.

I adopted the title of freelance artist when I was chosen as the illustrator for Nightwing: Thee Series. I want to continue to learn and tell the stories that need to be told, no matter the length of the story. This industry is highly competitive but I will not let that stop me. I will continue to get better as time goes on and my practices remain part of my daily routine.  I plan to work on my own project "Nan- Knights" as I progress throughout the years. It's potential is great and I think that the purpose of it will give a lot of young people some sort of guidance as well as resonate with a lot of the older audience.
